Where Tutoring Happens
Tutoring sessions are held in the Academic Resource Center Office, located upstairs in the DRBU building—a quiet and focused environment ideal for collaborative academic work—or remotely.
How to Get Started
To request individual tutoring support, please follow these steps:
- Request a Tutor
Please email writing.tutor@drbu.edu to be matched with a tutor. - Reach Out to Your Tutor
Once you’re connected, email your tutor to schedule your first meeting or request help with a specific assignment. - Discuss Expectations
In your initial conversation, your tutor will review the following with you:- Their preferred method of working with students
- Availability and typical meeting times
- How much advance notice they need to review your work before a meeting
It’s important to clarify these details early on so you can plan your work accordingly and get the most out of your sessions.
The Academic Tutoring Program is open to all students, whether you need targeted help or simply want a collaborative space to grow your academic skills. We encourage you to take advantage of this valuable resource—our tutors are here to support your learning, one conversation at a time.
