Our philosophy is that giving uplifts us. When we give, we also receive. In that spirit, service is an important part of our model. We aim to be of service at DRBU, in our local community, and within the wider world.
An Ethic of Service
Our community is small; everyone plays an essential role. Students, faculty, and staff work together to keep the university running, from cooking and cleaning to working in the library and supporting administrative functions.

Our work study program gives you the opportunity to fund your education while serving the community and gaining valuable skills and work experience.
One thing I found spiritually resonating was doing dorm chores. Even something as simple as dinner prep or mopping the floor gives you a sense of connectedness to the community. It feels like it’s not just about you, in a way that’s spiritually uplifting.
