We are pleased to announce that DRBU will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2026. Founded in 1976 by Master Hsuan Hua, DRBU has continued to evolve over the past five decades while remaining grounded in its vision of transformative education.
We warmly invite you to join us on campus to honor this milestone, connect with our community, and reflect on DRBU’s past, present, and future.
The year-long celebration of DRBU’s 50th Anniversary will begin on Saturday, May 23. The day will open with a morning event from 8:30–10:30 AM honoring Venerable Master Hua’s educational vision, followed by the 2026 Commencement Ceremony from 2:00–4:00 PM, where Venerable Bhikkhu Bodhi will deliver the keynote address. These events will take place at the Sudhana Center, 225 S. Hope Street in Ukiah.
The weekend will conclude with the celebration of Buddha’s Birthday at CTTB on Sunday, May 24, bringing our community together in a joyful Buddhist observance.
