I was slow in reading and understanding articles regarding translation theory.
How has the Translation Certificate program changed you?
I have more respect for translation itself and for the dedicated Buddhist text translators from thousands of years ago and around me today.
What surprised you about the Translation Certificate program?
I found fellow translators dedicated to Buddhist text translation, and also that it contained a meditation component.
What’s your service scholarship (work study) job?
IT support for CTTB.
Describe a daily practice if you have one:
Chanting “Namo Amituofo” (Namo Buddha Amitayus).
What do you do for fun?
Evening walks with my younger daughter — another baby Buddha Amitayus in the making.
