Job Title: Development Coordinator
Position type: Part time employee – half time
Supervisor: Donor Relations Manager, Vice President of Advancement
Start Date: ASAP or Sept 1, 2025
Location: In-person at DRBU Main Campus, Ukiah, CA
Expected Salary: $1,600/month
Job Responsibilities: The Development Coordinator supports the university’s advancement efforts by maintaining accurate donor data, facilitating timely donor follow up, and helping execute outreach, events, and visits that deepen relationships with current and prospective supporters. The role calls for an organized, mission‑aligned professional who enjoys balancing data work with hands‑on logistics and warm donor care.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Support: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing development events and donor engagement activities
- Data Management: Maintain and update the donor database and email lists, ensuring accuracy in records and contact information
- Donor Communications: Assist in preparing donor outreach, including mailings, reports, and marketing materials
- Donation Processing: Manage donation entry and ensure timely and accurate acknowledgments
- Donor Relations: Provide courteous and professional service to donors and visitors, maintaining clear and respectful communication
- Ethical Standards: Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of development work
- University Representation: Represent DRBU at events, meetings, and campus visits as a professional ambassador for the university
- Administrative Support: Serve as a point of contact for donor inquiries and provide responsive and organized support
- Special Projects: Perform general administrative tasks and contribute to projects that support DRBU’s development goals
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree. Applicants should have a understanding of DRBU’s mission and programs and of the value of a private liberal arts education.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated inclination to help advance DRBU’s mission and educational vision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks/projects, juggle changing deadlines, and manage timelines.
- Ability to work in a small team environment and with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of visitors. Strong service orientation.
