Join DRBU professor Douglas Powers for this semester’s study of the Lotus Sutra, one of the most revered sutras in Mahayana Buddhism. This class is hosted by Dharma Realm Buddhist University Extension. We will explore the sutra’s many relatable yet powerful parables, including the burning house and the illusory city, as well as the famous “Universal Door Chapter” describing the practice of Bodhisattva Guan Yin.

The Lotus Sutra is renowned for its inspiring message that all beings can, and will, become buddhas. This class is offered both online and in person at the Guest Building/Old DRBU Building (Conference Room) at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas.
