Disciples of the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association (DRBA) and North State Solar Energy have built a 500 kilowatt solar photo-voltaic system at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Ukiah, California.

This 500 kilowatt project will meet the current estimated electrical energy needs of the entire campus using made in America mounting materials, panels and Enphase Energy Microinverters. Over 1,800 panels are part of the array, which will “zero out” the projected energy bill at CTTB over the next ten years.

Over the 25-year lifespan of the system, the panels are expected to:

  • Save close to $6 million in energy costs
  • Prevent 14,000 tons of carbon dioxide from entering the environment
Plus, there is room at the project site for future expansion.
